When you roam, you are using data and services from another provider. These charges are then passed on to us and then on to you locally. The best way to control your roaming while you are abroad is to ensure that you have purchased a roaming bundle. They are available on MyDigicel App or by dialing *100#. See our available plans here.
Another way to avoid unexpected data charges is to switch off mobile data. If mobile data is switched on whilst you're connected to Wi-Fi, your phone could switch over to using the mobile data connection if the Wi-Fi signal is weak. When this happens, data charges as per roaming rates would apply.
